Music
All pupils experience a broad music curriculum; engaging them in a range of musical cultures and purposes. We want children to value music for a range of different reasons: as an outlet for creativity, where they can express their thoughts and emotions; to listen to music for enjoyment and wellbeing, to learn to sing and play musical instruments, so they are able use their musical skills to perform with others, to build a sense of community through worship, performance and fun.
This year our curriculum has been modified in response to risk assessments around COVID-19.
Our provision has been a 'blended' approach this year with lessons provided by face to face teaching and the use of the Charanga Music scheme.
We are currently reviewing our provision and planning in music in response to the 'new' music curriculum released by the DFE on 26th March, 2021.
